Ted Latham Obituary
TED LATHAM OBITUARY

We are sad to report that Ted Latham died on August 18th.
Ted was a Premier Grand Master and had been a stalwart of Yorkshire Bridge for over 5O years. He served on the main
Yorkshire Committee in the 1980/90s and more recently had been a member of the Conduct Committee.
He had represented Yorkshire frequently over 5 decades in county matches with his wife, Janet.
He always enjoyed playing in congresses both at home and abroad and was particularly successful in the EBL-EBU seniors
Congress which was held in Brighton in August 2003. He was 2nd in the pairs and with regular teammates Heather Hobson
and Roy Garthwaite won the Seniors teams.
He will be very much missed particularly at Harrogate Bridge Club where he has been a long-standing member.
Outside of bridge, Ted played golf and was an ardent Arsenal fan, loving the fact that they won the premiership for the first time
in 23 years!
Funeral Arrangements
Ted’s funeral will be at Stonefall Cemetary, Harrogate on Friday September 18th and afterwards at the Pavillions on the
Yorkshire Showground which is opposite the Cemetary.
Janet would be pleased to welcome Bridge playing friends who are able to attend.
