Students visit The House of Lords
You rang M’Lord!
On Thursday 3rd July, 3 students from the York Bridge Club’s Youth Academy,
Bertie, Levente and Bethany, visited the House of Lords to play bridge against The
House of Lords Bridge Team. They were joined by Sophie Morris from Durham, a
member of the Under 16 England Squad, and teams from 3 other schools.
The students had a wonderful day which was funded by the English Bridge
Educational and Development (EBED) charity, and the Yorkshire Bridge Contract
Association.
The trip was a reward for the York junior’s success at the National Championships in
March when Bertie, Bethany and Levente were part of a team of 4 who came 3rd in
the Hugh Scully Cup, behind the England Squad and European Champions.
