Current Season – Summer 2025

All the matches scheduled for the first two match days of the Summer 2025 season have been completed.

The league table in the first division couldn’t be much closer with only five points between the leading five (Leeds B, Doncaster A, Leeds A, Sheffield B and Sheffield A) with Malton A and Hull not far behind and still having an outside chance.    Three matches remain to be played on 6th July and 60 victory points available.

In the second division the winners will be determined by points average rather than total points, because nine of the thirteen teams have a bye round and the other four play a full programme of nine matches.    It looks to be between Sheffield E on 14.83, Barnsley Aces on 14.17 and Sheffield Dipsticks on 13.80.    The Dipsticks have already had their bye round and the Aces and Sheffield E will have theirs on the final match day.

When converting scores from imps to VPs, would team captains please use the EBU Discrete Scale for matches of 8 boards, not the Continuous Scale. This Scale is in a table at the end of the Competition Rules and can also be found by clicking on Conversion Scale n the Important Links panel on the right hand side.

The organisers occasionally receive queries about permitted systems and conventions in the Yorkshire League and the Online Yorkshire League. They are Level 4 as described in the current edition of the EBU Blue Book.
