FIXTURES PUBLISHED FOR THE WINTER 2026 OYL

 There will be three match days on Sundays 4th and 18th January and 1st February, with three 8 board matches on each day. Matches are played on ReralBriddge and BBO.

 This season we have ten teams in division 1, nine in Division 2 and nine in Division 3. Each team in Divisions 2 and 3 will play a cross-divisional match instead of having a bye. These results will count towards the team’s overall score. The Yorkshire League Committee thought this preferable to having an unwieldy Division 2 of 18 teams.

To record the cross-divisional matches, each team captain should please enter their team roster as usual and should also enter the imps and VP score for the division of which their team is a member.

When converting scores from imps to VPs, would team captains please use the EBU Discrete Scale for matches of 8 boards, not the Continuous Scale. This Scale is in a table at the end of the Competition Rules and can also be found by clicking on Conversion Scale n the Important Links panel on the right hand side.

The organisers occasionally receive queries about permitted systems and conventions in the Yorkshire League and the Online Yorkshire League. They are Level 4 as described in the current edition of the EBU Blue Book.
