Fifth place for Yorkshire in Pachabo Cup
Fifth place for Yorkshire in Pachabo Cup
The Pachabo Cup is the EBU inter-county competition for teams who qualify as the winners or runners up of each county’s premier knockout, which in Yorkshire’s case is the Waddington Shield.
In 2026, the Waddington Shield finalists were teams captained by Richard Winter and Paul Brereton (won by Winter, as reported here previously) and the Pachabo team comprised players drawn from both teams – Richard Winter, Geoff Kenyon, Paul Brereton, Frank Dixon, David Beck and Keith Joules.
The event was played online on RealBridge over two days on 13th and 14th June, and the Yorkshire team finished in an excellent fifth place out of the 27 counties taking part.
Congratulations to the players on their achievement.
