YCBA is trialling this new competition with a heat at Keighley Bridge Club.   It is hoped to run another heat at Sheffield Bridge Club on the same day or later in the autumn

• This trial event with be free of charge 
• It will be a single session event but with a break for coffee, tea and biscuits.
• The EBU handicapping method is to be used , that is to say

The handicap for each pair is their average of the two players’ NGS grades.  The NGS grades are the grades before the event.  The handicap is relative to 50%, so can be positive or negative.
The handicapped score is calculated by subtracting the handicap from the score from the combined results.
Handicapped-Score = Score – ((NGS_1 + NGS_2)/2 – 50

Starting time 1.00  pm, playing about 24 boards.
