Yorkshire Trophy 2024/25 Winners

The Yorkshire Trophy is a Jack High knockout competition for teams of four. The final of the 2024/25 competition produced a very close match between Team Kay from York Bridge Club and the Wetherby Bookworms.  It was won on the final board by the York team (photo attached): – congratulations to Ian Johnson, Carol Heron, Stuart Kay and Danny Ungar.

National Schools Championships

24th March 2025

Many congratulations to the team from the York Bridge Club Youth Academy who had a wonderful result at the National Schools Championships on Saturday 1st March at Loughborough Grammar School. The team comprising of Levente, Bertie, and Bethany came 3rd in the Hugh Scully Cup  whilst Josie and Rudie got through to the final in their competition. The team were playing against players from the England Squad, and prestigious schools such as Eton and Haberdashers. Levente, Bertie, Bethany and Josie have now been invited to train with the England under 16 team.
